6. Manila (Mars Attack Part 4)

manila, manila... I'd be coming back to manila...

most people from the province are too eager to go there. i did too once. i tried to get a job there. almost did. but went home after a year and a half.

i still go there whenever i could for holidays and vacation leave. i think that's just what it would be for me - a place to go to for a holiday or vacation.

when he came here, we can't bypass manila if we want to go anywhere in the philippines. everybody have to be there at some point of their journey.

we stayed at corporate inn for maybe 2 days and 3 nights and explored the manila area. it's definitely improved and cleaner.

we couldn't miss the famous manila bay sunset, strolling along the baywalk. we also tried the kalesa ride and watched movies (or tv if we're tired of walking).

the orchidarium was probably the most enjoyable part/place because a butterfly landed on me for the first time ever! i just wish there could have been more variety and more colorful butterflies.

we missed the planetarium show coz we have to wait for others to form a group of 20 pax before they'd let us in.

on our last night, we went jogging just coz we planned to do that but haven't yet. he lent me his shorts (which was dropping from my waist) and his t-shirt which was too big. it was a good thing it was already dark. :-)

manila will always be the busy place where the day seem to stretch until the wee hours of the night and yet also up and about early to start a new day.

busy, alive, hurried.
