Should have seen it coming, right? hehe. I think it's only appropriate that I joined a rider's club coz I'm very curious about the whole experience of driving and I haven't really been anywhere with it but house and office.
I wasn't able to join their first ride but I was there for the 2nd one. If you have been to Baguio or Sagada or somewhere else where the road is the same winding, curvy one, then you'd be able to imagine the way.
Everybody warned me about the road and reminded to be careful.
The first few curves were fine. I was actually grinning while daydreaming coz it reminded me so much of the way from Baguio to Sagada and that took me to a really happy memory. Wished my martian was there to share it with. After I guess a dozen curves, I was beginning to feel the pressure of the terrain we were driving through. It's an endless curve - left and right. There are no straight road/street anywhere but it was so much fun! Really, really fun driving with 17 other bikers. I was more just following, following and never letting the bike in front of me out of my sight. I didn't know the hand signals and all the sounds and stuff. I didn't even know I have to turn the headlights on. So it was an informative drive.
When we got to where we're going, we drove around the towncenter first before deciding to proceed to the venue. The guys hurried to get fishing rods. I didn't know what to do so I just stayed indoors with the girls and watched TV. When I got a little bored, I went out. Someone lent me the fishing rod he was using. The problem is - I haven't really fished before. They told me to just throw it in the water and let the fishes bite the worm on the hook.
My first attempts were all futile so I decided to transfer pond. Luckily, there was maybe enough fishes on that one. I was able to catch 2 medium-sized tilapia. Yey!
We had our special meeting shortly after lunch and prepared to go home after that. The fishes that were caught were transferred into a bigger container and we were invited to buy as much as we can. I declined coz I wasn't prepared to take home fishes. Maybe next time.
The drive back was slow but was probably the best part of the drive so far because I was able to enjoy the driving with a group especially when you see all the headlights on and in single pile. Amazing!

I always enjoy how you describe events through your eyes: your descriptions are vivid and evocative. mm... I know your martian remembers that road to Sagada clearly, too (well, the parts he was awake for! ;-)
